Economic and academic racial disparities in
“Blacks suffer crime, poverty
and illiteracy much more than Whites.
Whites are predominantly in charge of American society
(wrong, actually, if one
views Jews as being a race apart from Whites, precisely as do the Jews,
themselves). Therefore, Whites must
be responsible.” Thus goes the
logic.
As we have seen, that is wrong. Otherwise, athletics would be a
lily-White affair at all levels, whereas the reality is exactly opposite.
Why does racism seem to be so unevenly
applied, if conventional wisdom holds true? Why do Asians do so well academically
and economically, though the virulent White supremacist sneers at them with a
contempt equal to that held for all other non-White races?
No explanation other than White racism is
allowed, else we are drawn inevitably to the doorstep of admitting that racial
differences exist.
Politically-Correct Racism
Consider the last paragraph carefully. In fact, go back and read it again. I’ll wait right here for you.
How ironic. The very people who decry racism in
those who readily acknowledge the existence of racial differences actually are
the ones possessed of illogical racial attitudes. They are the real racists.
This vitally-important concept deserves
restatement:
The politically correct refuse to
acknowledge racial differences because they believe that such differences would
be proof of racial inferiority.
They refuse to see differences as being merely different. Theirs is a singularly racist outlook
because of the negative implication they insist upon applying to racial
differences.
Those who deny racial differences have
painted themselves into a corner.
If ever they accede to the overwhelming proof of racial differences, then
they immediately become the very racists about whom they complain so
loudly. That is why they are stuck
and unable to accept the overwhelming proof of racial differences, though their
position so clearly is lost.
However, the politically correct show they
know the real score by the manner in which they handicap races they consider to
be superior with such devices as affirmative action, quotas, profiling and
diversity programs.
Golfers play with handicaps so as to make
their routine game more competitive.
Golf handicapping readily acknowledges the ability of some players to
play the game better than others.
Handicapping makes games like golf more competitive and, therefore, more
enjoyable. Handicapping in life
merely is unfair for those held back while the less deserving take their places
in line.
The Rationale for Affirmative Action
I attended law school in the late 1970s and
early 1980s. I recall the rationale
put forth in my Constitutional Law classes for affirmative action being
necessary to provide a leg up for minorities that unfairly had been held back by
pervasive White male discrimination.
William Rehnquist, then the new guy on the
US Supreme Court bench and Reagan’s first appointment, addressed the assembled
student body of UCLA’s Law School shortly after he was appointed and recited the
rationale for affirmative action:
affirmative action was a temporary measure to last a single generation,
at the end of which parity would be achieved and the preference systems then
being erected would be abandoned.

generation to which Justice Rehnquist had referred) after racial preferences
were installed throughout

We know better, though.
We know what is going on. So do the judges. Once again, I ask you: Who are the real racists around
here?
It doesn’t matter what the courts do,
however, because “minority” preferences have become so institutionalized
throughout
Affirmative action says, loud and clear,
that the favored minorities simply don’t measure up and will not be competitive
without handicapping other, clearly superior, members of society.
Talk about a racist outlook!
Diversity, quotas, racial profiling (of
Whites only) and the encouragement of multiculturalism all entail the same sort
of logic, of course.
Legacy of Resentment
Imagine yourself a Black doctor, every bit
as talented as White doctors on staff with you at the hospital at which you
practice medicine. Now imagine the
rage you feel when both Blacks and Whites express a preference for “another”
(White) doctor because of their unstated belief that you couldn’t have earned
your position and therefore are not qualified to minister to their needs.
Now imagine yourself untalented and Black,
knowing that you don’t deserve that which has come your way in life, yet
resenting having it handed to you in so patronizing a fashion. Can the resentment of the undeserving
somehow be denied the same gravity as that possessed by the unrecognized but
deserving?
And the racism of the politically correct
now has become institutionalized throughout
There are no teachers and no students in
Now schools are resegregating, a result
that both Blacks and Whites desire.
Yet,
We do not demand that Blacks actually do
the homework that Whites regularly turn in. We do not demand that Blacks achieve
test scores which show that material has been learned and retained. We do not demand that Blacks comport
themselves properly, treating others with respect. No longer, even, do we require that
Blacks speak understandable English.
Instead, we provide Blacks with the bare
necessities of life, much as we do the family dog, and expect nothing in return
except that they lick society’s hand.
We implicitly expect only second-rate performance of Blacks at home, at
school and in the workplace. Blacks
know this and have come to expect it of themselves, as well. Is it any wonder that our hands get
bitten, not licked?
How demeaning it must be for Blacks of
every stripe in today’s society, which refuses to expect excellence in minority
performance, a refusal born of a very real racist belief in the inherent
inferiority of Blacks. A belief
held by the very people who claim to be concerned for Black interests.
And the resentment isn’t confined to
Blacks. Imagine being White and
coming to a hospital emergency room, only to find that your attending physician
is Black. You don’t know if he is
qualified to operate on your badly-injured child, yet they refuse your request
for another doctor. Your child’s
life hangs in the balance. What
will you do?
Imagine your resentment if your store-clerk
son just missed out on a spot in the freshman class of medical school because
several less academically-qualified minority students were admitted.
Many Blacks, both talented and untalented,
are awakening to the legacy of affirmative action and they don’t like it.
Some Blacks today speak of the creation, in
a single generation, of an entire subculture that cannot stand on its own, so
crippled by handouts has it become.
What’s more, those Blacks who are awakening
resent White America for what has been wrought in the name of equality. They scarcely can be blamed. They wanted equal opportunity. We gave them equal outcome.
And we provide equal outcomes with
mechanisms that reek of an expectation of failure and inferiority on the part of
Blacks. Relative merit is
disregarded in favor of skin color.
No attempt whatsoever is made to limit society’s largesse, either
quantitatively or temporally, implying a belief in perpetual, inbred
inferiority. All this and more is
put in place by the politically correct, who universally accuse others of being
racist, all the while showing favoritism in a way that belies their own truly
racist beliefs that Blacks are too inferior to earn their own way.
Advanced placement breeds another form of
resentment, too: A much higher
percentage of Blacks end up “in over their heads,” both in college and in
business. They know their own work
is sub par. Placed with their
intellectual equals, likely they would thrive. Instead, society does its best to make
as many Blacks as possible taste the bitterness of personal failure. The long-term consequences of such a
strategy can be only negative, likely in staggering measure, for all races.
This was foreseen by Booker T. Washington,
founder of the Tuskegee Institute:
“No greater injury can be done to any youth than to let him feel that
because he belongs to this or that race he will be advanced regardless of his
own merit or efforts.”
The news gets worse.
Members of the American entitlement
subculture, largely Black, but daily swelling with large numbers of illegal
immigrants, see nothing wrong with their own ever-increasing entitlement
mentality, so immersed in it have they become. These people, too, resent White America
for complaining about their getting that which they have come to view as their
due.
Meanwhile, resentment on the part of Whites
grows daily, as well, resentment of the racial preferences as well as of the
growing Black resentment. The
explosion in Black-on-White crime, despite being covered up by

In a very real sense, we have created an
entitlement mentality throughout the world by our actions. Is it any wonder that we face the same
animosity everywhere that we have fostered in
Deepening the Divide
The media/government coverup serves only to
aggravate things. Making Whites
feel guilty for their inherent racism (and if you don’t think that guilt breeds
contempt, then you quite simply do not understand the concept). Making Blacks believe that White racism
is at the basis of all Black problems.
More resentment on both sides.
Those who have little (Blacks in this case)
always believe that society’s output should be divided equally among
everybody. Those who have much
(Whites) always believe in division according to merit. This fundamental and unrecognized schism
exists in

racism once provided, an explosion of epic proportions at some time in the
future is guaranteed. There will be
a race war, the initial skirmishes of which already are being fought in
At the highest levels of golf, such as in
open tournament play, handicaps are removed. The same is true for the ruling elite,
of course. The rules, the
handicaps, apply to everybody but themselves. Of course, they can afford to live apart
and above the fray, can’t they?
They can afford to escape the consequences of their very real racism and
pretend that, because they don’t deal with the issue personally, they are not
racists. For now.
This living apart by the elite
must not be confused with “White flight” from cities to the suburbs and the
rural environs of other states altogether.
Whites in general are depicted as the aggressors in the Black/White
racial war that is erupting from the cities of
